Become a Member

Membership in the International Society for the Study of Narrative includes eligibility to register for the Narrative Society Conference and a subscription to Narrative (winner of the 1993 award for Best New Journal from the Council of Editors of Learned Journals), as well as to the Society's newsletter, which contains information about the annual conference, MLA sessions, the online discussion group, and other activities. The Ohio State University Press, publisher of Narrative, works in partnership with Johns Hopkins University Press to manage subscriptions and customer services.

Membership is granted by subscribing to Narrative at the Ohio State University Press (OSUP) page at the Johns Hopkins University Press (JHUP) website. Yes, this is a bit confusing, but JHUP hosts the journal and the subcriptions for the OSUP.

Joining

To join the Society, subscribe to the Journal. To do so, please visit the OSUP/JHUP website and follow the instructions for creating an account and subscribing to Narrative. When your subscription has been processed you will be enrolled as a member in the Society. Click here to subscribe.

Renewing

The OSUP/JHUP site allows you to join for 1-3 years. You should receive an email from the Johns Hopkins University Press letting you know about your need to renew. That email will contain instructions for renewal. If you would like to renew your subscription, you can do so at the same site you would use to subscribe/join. Simply log into your account and select the desired subscription option.
